If the Halong Bay Management Board announces a cancellation due to adverse weather, the following policies apply based on the timing of the cancellation:
- Before departure from Hanoi to Halong Bay (if no services have been utilized): A full 100% refund will be issued.
- During the trip (if some services, such as transfer, lunch, day trip, or hotel in Halong, have already been used): The cost of used services will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be refunded.
- If a multi-night trip is shortened (e.g., from 2 nights to 1 night): Guests will be charged for a 2-day/1-night trip plus any other used services, with the remainder refunded.

A shuttle bus or limousine service will pick up guests from their hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter around 6:00. The journey to Halong City takes approximately 2.5 hours, transporting guests to the Sunworld Old Town Commercial Area in Halong City via a comfortable 9-16 seat limousine. This transfer service incurs an additional fee.
Guests arranging their own transportation must arrive at the designated waiting station (B135 - B138 | Sunworld Old Town Commercial Area, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long) for the Ambassador Day Cruise between 7:30 and 8:00. By approximately 8:30, all passengers will be transferred to the Ambassador Cruise II via tender for the embarkation process.
Upon disembarkation around 16:00, the pre-arranged transportation service (available for an additional fee) will be waiting at the cruise port to transfer guests back to Hanoi, arriving around 19:00.
