Cao Bang – Home of Vietnam's Grandest Waterfall

Cao Bang Province sits in Vietnam's dramatic Northeast, bordering China. Its star attraction is the Ban Gioc Waterfall – at 300 metres wide and 70 metres tall, it is Vietnam's largest and most beautiful waterfall, shared with China's Guangxi Province. Nearby Nguom Ngao Cave stretches for nearly 3 km. History buffs can visit Pac Bo Cave and Spring, where Ho Chi Minh returned to Vietnam in 1941 after 30 years abroad to lead the independence movement. The province is also rich in Tay, Nung and Dao minority culture. 8–9 hours by bus from Hanoi.
