Ha Giang – Vietnam's Most Spectacular Mountain Province

Ha Giang is Vietnam's northernmost and most remote province, home to some of the country's most jaw-dropping mountain scenery. The Ha Giang Loop – a 350 km motorcycle circuit – is considered one of the world's great motorbike adventures, winding past the UNESCO-recognised Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, across the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass (one of Vietnam's four great mountain passes), and through valleys dotted with Hmong, Tay and Dao minority villages. The best time to visit is October–November (buckwheat flowers) or March–April (canola blossoms). Ha Giang City is 5–6 hours by bus from Hanoi.
